What is Nyepi or Bali's day of silence ? 

Nyepi day or silent day in Bali is referred to sanctify the body and soul of human and the nature of universe. And  Bali's day of silence is the main event in saka new year calendar which  celebrating after following the new moon in march 2025. People in Bali will stand still this island in 24 hours ,the local people will no longer-term use light ,no talking ,no any leisure ,fasting for 24 hours and all the public facilities will be closed for 24 hours. However ,there will be special  policy for Hospital and hotel is allowed be open. The hotel Will be open for internal activities only.

Balinese people not only celebrating Nyepi day in 2025 but every year they are celebrating this special day. And why the balinese people celebrating Nyepi day or silent day ,it is a time for balinese people to reflect for the past year and to purify them selves and start a new.

When is Nyepi day or silent day in Bali in 2025 ? 

Regarding the balinese calender,Nyepi or silent day will be on 29 of march this year.
This celebration last for 24 hours ,start at 6 am and finish at 6 am in 30 of march in 2025.

Some things you need to give attention during the silent day in Bali as a tourists !

  • Make sure you don't have any plan for trip or any tours during that day. 
  • Be prepared your food but no need to make it over.
  • Keep cash with you  during the silent day Incase emergency happens.
  • Please turn off all the light at your villa or accomodations.
  • Use headset if you want to listen music or watch the movie.
  • Pleas respect local rule by not posting any activity during the silent day.
  • Keep staying inside of your accommodation and Incase emergency you are allowed to go out by the local police permission.
